Has good positional size
Changes pace well and has quick first step allows him to get into the lane
Good finisher around the rim and able to get off floaters even when highly contested
Can post up and punish smaller guards around the basket
Not a great shooter for a guard, still a work in progress from three.
Not sure if he is a true lead guard, lacks the instincts of a point guard.
Plays below the rim as he isn’t necessarily an explosive athlete.
Playing over 34 minutes per game and started at point guard for the Tigers a year ago. He is able to use his size combined with a quick first step and smooth handle to get into the lane where he is a strong finisher; usually with either a floater or at the rim. He is a stronger guard where he can use his strength to finish at the rim well. At the next level, I am not quite sure he will be able to use his strength enough to make up for his lack of explosiveness. His shot isn’t mechanically the best but is not terrible. Would like for him to shoot at a higher number as he only shot about 32.6% from three but he did shoot over 81% from the line which suggests potential is there. He tested the waters this past season but obviously decided to come back to LSU. I would not be surprised if he ended up in the second round but I see him most likely going undrafted. Either way, he will most likely spend time in the G-league and overseas.
