Scouting Report
Strengths
Strong finisher: Can finish through contact, with either hand.
Playmaking: He’s a great ball handler that doesn’t turn the ball over often, and can put pressure on defenses with his driving ability. He compliments that with great vision and accurate passing ability.
Shooting/Touch: 41% from three speaks for itself, but he is very impressive in the lane with a floater and from the free throw line. You can tell he has a great feel for jumpers.
Defense: Moore Jr. is 6-5, strong, and has long arms. Those traits allow him to guard multiple positions, including 4’s and 5’s in the post.

Weaknesses
Athleticism: He lacks a quick first step and the ability to create his own shot or get around defenders. He’s a junior and the athleticism hasn’t really shown improvement, so it will certainly be a concern for NBA teams.
Defensive effort: Moore will occasionally get lost defensively, which seems to be more a result of lack of effort and/or attentiveness.

Summary
Moore is an intriguing forward with a combination of wingspan, 3pt shooting, strength, and court vision. He needs to improve athletically; being more explosive on both ends of the floor and staying locked in on defense assignments will increase his chances of staying on the court.

This data was hand-tracked by AJ Wahl and Bryon Cook. Every single defensive possesion of each player's season was analyzed. This dataset includes all possessions when the defender is guarding on-ball, in man-to-man, and against a player not within their position group who shoots the ball, is fouled, or commits a turnover. The percentile listed above is a players standing compared to their postion group calculated by compliling and weighing various different metrics derrived from the hand-tracked data. This data only measures a portion of a player's impact, but it is clear that the ability to defend out of one's position group is a vital skill to contributing to winning basketball at the professional level.
