Summary
Tyler Smith exhibits versatility as a shooter, capable of knocking down threes in pick-and-pop and trail action scenarios, providing spacing for his team's offense. Additionally, he can effectively face up in the mid-post and convert mid-range jumpers, diversifying his scoring options. Smith has shown promise as a switchable defender, displaying the ability to guard multiple positions and contribute to his team's defensive schemes. Furthermore, his skill set extends to rebounding and initiating fast breaks in transition, adding value to his team's transition offense. However, he needs to refine his touch in and around the lane and improve his ball-handling to create scoring opportunities for himself more effectively. Additionally, Smith should be more assertive as an interior rebounder and focus on increasing his physical strength to withstand challenges in the paint and further elevate his overall game.

Notes
Pangos All-American Camp - Las Vegas, NV - 6/6 - 8/2021
Shot the ball well from 3 on the move, in PnR action and spotting up.
OTE - Atlanta, GA - 2/26/2022
Shot the ball well from the 3pt line making all 3 attempts. Didn't have much lift on his shot in the lane as he was blocked at the rim and on a FT jumper attempt. Didn't compete on the glass at all didn't look like he wanted to mix it up on the interior.
OTE - Atlanta, GA - 4/14/2022
Shot the ball well from 3 off the catch, showed the ability to push the ball in transition was very fluid. Not very athletic got several shots blocked on the interior. Didn't look to playmake, if he touched it he was shooting or turning it over. Showed some flashes of being a good defender, active hands and moved his feet a little.
OTE - Atlanta, GA - 2/10/2023
This was the best I've seen him play, he was active on the glass. Looked to setup his teammates picking up 3st. On the defensive end he moved his feet, contested shots and had active hands in the passing lanes. One play that stood out, he helped on a driver to the lane, tipped the ball away, ran the lane and finished with a two hand lob dunk. He also shot the ball well from 3. He also looked to exploit a mismatch as he was being guarding by a much shorter player, he took him down to the mid-post and shot over the top of him. He also showed the ability to put the ball on the floor with a straight line drive from the right corner leading to a running left hand hook in the lane.
