Scouting Report
Strengths
Showed the ability to be a solid on-ball defender and navigate through screens, by using his lateral quickness to get over and under screens, and using countering moves on screens by using his ability to suddenly change direction.
Efficient finisher at the rim when running and leaking in transition. An open court threat.
Able to slash to the rim in P&R action and can make floaters over the bigs. His touch makes him an effective mid, and low, pick and roll scorer.
High motor guard who hustles for loose balls and gets offensive rebounds, through athleticism and overall strength.

Weaknesses
Struggles scoring off the bounce and making his pull-up jumpers efficiently. Specifically in his interior shot selection.
Needs to improve in C&S situations, especially for non contested shot attempts from beyond the arc.
Defensively, often gets caught overhelping on drives, or rotating too early, which leads to open opponent scoring opportunities.
Doesn’t playmake particularly well for his teammates, as he often spends too much unnecessary time and actions, handling the ball, just to pass the ball as the shot clock winds down.

Summary
Castle is a combo guard who can do multiple things for the team on both ends. He can be a secondary facilitator for his team, or an off-ball slash scoring option. He may struggle in the league playing shooting guard if he doesn’t get more efficient as a shooter on the catch and off the bounce, and needs to show more wiggle, or creativity, rather than just getting straight downhill. He can still get to the rim in P&R action, cutting, or running in transition, due to his speed. He has touch around the rim, and still shows flashes of athleticism and a quick first step, post injury, to be a slashing scorer. He is productive in guarding ball handlers and navigating through picks and handoffs on defense. He does a good job contesting shots at the rim and jumpers but oftentimes get caught helping in the paint which leads to open jumpers, but this can be corrected with further coaching. If Castle can be an efficient secondary scoring and facilitating option, and can leverage his defensive prowess, and athletic / physical strengths, he can fulfill an interesting role at the next level.

Reports
Notes
City of Palms - Ft. Myers, FL - 12/18/2022
He consistently looks to involve his teammates, always keeping his head up to survey the entire court. With a big frame, he is active in the paint, both on the glass and on offense, using his strength to power through defenders and score with smooth floaters. He has a well-rounded game, demonstrating an excellent sense of when to attack and when to pass. His crisp passing skills could have resulted in more than 10 assists if his teammates had finished better.
NBPA Top 100 - Orlando, FL - 6/27 - 7/2/2022
He lived in the paint finishing with touch at the rim, no wasted dribble as he got by his defenders with a quick first step. He showcases a versatile scoring ability with turn-around jumper, dunks in transition and hitting jumpers from the 3pt line. His playmaking was equally impressive, assisting on drive-and-drops, bigs cutting to the rim, hitting the roller in PnR action and pick- finding shooters in transition on catch-and-shoot opportunities. Defensively, he was disruptive, picking pockets at half court and often leading to fast-break layups or dunks.
