Summary
Scoota is electric in the open court, he has the ability to retrieve a rebound, push it in transition and finish over the top of bigger defenders. He has a quick first step which keeps defenders off balance, which allows him to live in the paint. He can finish with an array of runners, floaters and pull-up jumpers in the lane. He has quick hands (huge hands) on the defensive end, both on and off the ball. He does need to work on his outside shot off the catch and off the dribble. He also needs to work on staying at home on the defensive end, as he often gambles too much. And I would like to see him look to create shots for his teammates, as much as he breaks down the defense, he misses a lot of wide-open teammates on the perimeter.

Uber competitive, putting pressure on the defense as he keeps attacking the paint. Quick in the open court and off the dribble in the half-court. Making tough shots in the lane over contact bigs. Knocking down mid-range jumpers and finding teammates.

USA Basketball - Colorado Springs, CO - 10/11-13/2019
Has a quick first step has a nice change of pace to keep defenders off balance. Very coachable looks to take in all the instruction from the coaches. Sneaky athlete, quick off his feet, will catch a body!
Georgia Elite 8 Tip-Off Classic - Powder Springs, Ga - 11/9/2019
Attacking the basket off the dribble. Drawing fouls in the lane. Missed several pull-up jumpers from the left-wing. Not shooting the ball well but is attacking the paint at every turn. Getting out in transition after a poor shooting start has opened things up for him a bit more.

Explodes in the lane from the R wing, drops off to big for an easy layup. Explodes to the lane from the R wing off of a ball fake fouled in the air on a layup attempt. Follow up tip dunk. Living at the front of the rim. Taking a lot of bad shots and not showing a willingness to pass the ball. Makes 1 dribble pull-up at the R elbow. Makes a pull-up jumper at the FT line in transition. Makes pull 3 from the L wings.

Makes C&S 3 from the L wing to start the game. Push up the L sideline, get a pick at the hash explodes to the rim for R hand dunk.

Makes pull 3 from the L wing. Makes pull-up 3 in PnR actions from the L wing. Makes off the dribble 3pt from the L wing. Ast, after he gathers, is own off reb, finds the shooter on the R wing. Makes a runner in the lane off behind the back cross at the top of the key. Ast on drive and kick for 3 in the R corner. Explodes to the rim in early o finishes with the R on the L side. Makes deep pull up 3 off the glass.
Tip-Off Classic - Atlanta - GA - 4/2-4/2021 Gm 1
Explodes in the open court off long reb, pushes in transition, and finishes in the lane with and 1. Knocks down pull up 3 from the L wing. Makes two pull-up jumpers at the FT line. Knocked down L layup after a tough jab cross-over coming downhill on the defender from the top of the key. Finishes in the lane with contact. 1st step is so quick and finishes well around the rim. Quick hands to get a deflection on cross-over attempt. Takes contact in the lane finishes with contact soft over the front of the rim. Caught put back dunk over two defenders and a couple of his own teammates.

Knocks down pull up L elbow jumper, after tough head fakes off the dribble at the 3pt line. Attacks the basket from the L wing finishes with R hand dunk in the lane, straight-line drive. Makes a tough R hand layup with two defenders draped across his arms. Makes a tough R layup on the L side as he hangs and contorts his body. Finishing with contact every time he gets to the lane.

Splits trap out of PnR with a wrap around behind-the-back dribble, finishes at the rim, and 1-1. Takes a hard fall as he gets undercut, knocks down both FT. Explodes to the rim to finish over the front of the rim.
