Simpson is a shooting guard that will let it fly on the perimeter. In transition, he will run his lane well and become open for a three filling out to the wing or corner. When attacking the rim, he does well at drawing fouls. However, running off the line is one of his main weaknesses, he doesn't finish at the rim well or utilize different finishes. His range has expanded over the past year and once he becomes a better finisher, he will be a complete offensive threat.
