ARS/Rescue Rooter National Hoopfest Memphis

Tonight is the tip-off of the 2020 ARS/Rescue Rooter National Hoopfest in Memphis, TN. I'm so excited about this event because it is loaded with elite-level D-I basketball talent from all over the country. To kick off the event tonight, it's safe to say it'll be a battle for name rights as Christian Brothers (TN) plays host Christian Brothers (MO) which features 2020 UNC signee, Caleb Love.

On Friday and Saturday, there's a slate of games scheduled at Briarcrest Christian and Olive Branch High School. Which will feature the #1 team in the country Montverde Academy (FL) who's stacked with ESPN Top 100 talent D-I talent 2020 Oklahoma State signee Cade Cunningham #2, 2020 FSU signee Scottie Barnes #8, 2020 UNC signee Day'ron Sharpe #14, 2020 Arkansas commit Moses Moody #38 and 2020 Michigan signee Zeb Jackson #65.

It will also feature the #14 team in the country Hamilton Heights (TN) who has already taken down two nationally ranked programs this season Sunrise Christian (KS) and Prolific Prep (CA). And features 2020 Florida signee Samson Ruzhentsev and the highly coveted Bayron Mateos-Garcia & Andersson Garcia.

Not to be outdone in this star-studded event is the #31 ranked team in the country IMG Academy (FL) which features a comparable list of ESPN Top 100 players. Like 2020 Duke signee Jalen Johnson #4, 2020 Tenessee signee Jaden Springer #17, 2020 Duke signee Mark Williams #29, and 2020 Memphis native and Ole Miss signee Matthew Murrell #50. To go along with this stellar senior class, IMG also features the #8 ranked player in the class of 2021 Moussa Diabate and #11 ranked player in the class of 2022 Jarace Walker.

Also, be sure to keep an eye out for a few other noteworthy teams like Hometown Favorites Memphis East (TN), Briarcrest Christian (TN), Lusanne (TN) and Vashon (MO).

Games tip-off at 7:30 pm CST tonight at Christian Brother, Friday's games tip-off at 3:30 pm CST at Briarcrest & 6:00 pm CST at Olive Branch, and Saturday's games tip-off at 12:30 pm CST at Briarcrest. I would advise you to get there early and be prepared for a show throughout the event.

Please, make sure you remember the names because a few of these players will be playing in the NBA over the next few years.
