City of Palms Classic - 2022
Johnuel “Boogie” Fland || Archbishop Stepinac (NY)|| G 6'3 || C/O 24
He has Fluid shot motion, confident in his ability to put up a jumper from anywhere. He moves well without the ball and gets open looks off of weak side movement, keeping defender constantly moving and chasing. He played bigger than his frame and was able to snag a few boards on the interior.

Kennard Davis Jr. || Vashon (MO) || F 6'6 || C/O 23
Powerful frame used his body to absorb contact and finish in the lane. Ability to rebound and push the ball in transition. Active all over the floor and plays with a high motor. Very coachable was used to relay info from the staff to his teammates.
Yohandry Ortiz || First Baptist Academy (FL) || SG 6’4 || C/O 23
Efficient night from the field (8-13) as most looks came from close to the basket and putbacks from offensive rebounds. Does have range if needed when open. Makes things happen in the paint and active around the glass. He makes good decisions to pass out of trouble in the post but can be more aware of coming doubles to not TO the ball.
Tre Johnson || Lake Highlands (TX)|| G 6'5|| C/O 24
Fundamental shot and a high release point on his jump shot. Length and athleticism helped him get his shot off over the defense. Liked to get to the midrange, off pump-fake into 1 dribble pull-up. Very active on glass as well, crashed the boards, and pushed the ball in transition.
Tyler Jackson || St. Frances (MD) || G 6’1 || C/O 25
High volume scorer who was fearless putting up shots from deep. Didn't mind mixing it up in the paint, attacking the rim to finish through contact. He did a good job moving well off the ball, relocating to open spots for uncontested jumpers. He connected on a few corner 3's on his way to 3-8 behind the line and 26 points on the night.
Elliot Cadeau || Link Prep (MO) || PG 6'1 || C/O 24
Lead guard set the table for his teammates and played smart, 9 assists with only 1 TO. He played with good pace and knew when to speed up and slow down to attack. He had an early block, which led to a transition bucket for him. He made several nice reads in pick n pop action, leading to wide-open 3-pointers. Grabbed a board in 3rd quarter, turned, and threw a dime to a streaking teammate down the sideline almost ¾ court for a layup.
Karter Knox || Tampa Catholic || SF 6'6 || C/O 204
Knox showed his ability to impact the court on both ends. Knowing where to be and when to get aggressive is crucial to his continued growth. His first basket this game came off a set play where he received a screen and cut for a lob dunk from the weak side. A few too many heat checks in this game for my liking, but overall he played under control and efficiently.
