CWENCH 2025 All Canadian Game Event Recap

Style of Play:

The CWENCH All Canadian Game featured Canada’s best high school level talent. The game was played at a very fast pace which led to both teams scoring over 140 points. It had an all star game type of feel with a lot of fast-break opportunities, over flashiness, and not much defense being played. In the second half, it became a more competitive game with players having the chance to showcase their half-court scoring and offense more. The spacing on the court was lackluster and inefficient as many players struggled with shooting from deep.

Standout Players:

EJ Horton | PG/SG | 6'3" | Orangeville Prep | 2025 | Committed to University of North Texas

EJ Horton showed aggressiveness, athleticism, and control when driving to the rim in this game. He had a quick and explosive first step that he used to blow by opposing team’s players. Overall, he was an inside out player with most of his points coming at the rim but was willing to shoot when he had space. He was able to use his size and strength to absorb contact, draw fouls, and get to the free-throw line. He was able to feel the contact and use his body well to keep defenders off him. He had an off game from the free-throw line missing 4 free-throws. He was also effective as a catch and shoot three-point shooter, highlighted by his quick release and fluid shooting. In a game where there wasn’t much defense played he was able to use his quick, strong, and active hands to get steals leading to fastbreak opportunities. He had defensive positioning and held his ground preventing deep post position against bigger players.

Tristan Beckford | SG/SF | 6'5" | Fort Erie International Academy | 2025 | Committed to University of South Florida

Tristan Beckford played with a high motor in this game. He rebounded the ball well. His combination of good positioning with his hands and length made him an effective rebounder. He always looked to get out in transition with his quickness and athleticism beating the others down the floor. He was an athletic finisher. His size and frame allowed him to absorb contact well and finish through it. At times he didn’t look to get back to play transition defense or was slow getting back in transition. He was looking to focus more on the offensive side and getting easy points in transition.

Onyx Nnani | SF/PF | 6'9" | The Phelps School | 2025 | Committed to University of South Florida

Onyx Nnani displayed a lot of skill and versatility for someone at his size. He had a tight handle for his size that didn’t get stolen or deflected. He was fluid moving for his size and comfortably got to his spots. He displayed shot creation and created separation with a step-back jumper. He also used his length to contest and force tough contested shots when the game was more of a half-court style of play. Overall, Nnani was one of the most intriguing prospects who played as his game seems to project well into the NCAA.

Mahliq Guiseppi-Kitson | SF | 6'6" | Fort Erie International Academy | 2026 | Uncommitted

Mahliq Guiseppi-Kitson played as an off-ball role player. He didn’t get the chance to be a ball-handler and create his own shots. He found a way to still be involved without having the ball in his hands. He had a good feel for the game being in the right spots at the right time. He got high quality shots in the paint with his ability to bring energy through cuts and finding the open space in the paint.

Miles Sadler: Position | PG | 5'11" | Bella Vista Prep | 2026 | Uncommitted

Miles Sadler was a slasher in this game. He was looking to get downhill and break down the defense in the paint. He had a quick and explosive first step that he would use to get into the paint. He had a variety of crafty finishes with good footwork to navigate and finish through size with him being an undersized guard. He also displayed playmaking by creating shots for others on drive and kicks and off dribble penetration. He was a willing passer and could find the open man.

Spencer Ahrens | PF | 6'8" | Bella Vista Prep | 2025 | Committed to Boise State University

Spencer Ahrens operated in transition most of the time. He was able to grab rebounds and push the pace in transition. He had an effective handle for his size and liked to bring the ball up down the middle. He looked to be too flashy at times and made the difficult pass causing him to be out of control and turnover prone. If he keeps the game simple and is better at finding the open man he would be more of a transition threat at his size and will allow his team to play at a fast pace converting easy fast break points.

Promis N’landu | PG | 6'1" | Fort Erie International Academy | 2026 | Uncommitted

Promis N’landu is an undersized guard but in this game was effective as an isolation player creating his own shot. He was able to score from inside and mid-range. He was shifty and had a quick and explosive first step driving to the rim. He played at his own pace and the defense didn’t speed him up. He also was effective at getting to his spots and creating separation with a step-back jumper.

Rokiem Green | PG/SG | 6'2" | Bella Vista Prep | 2026 | Uncommitted

Rokiem Green was able to get into the paint and finish inside. He was able to use his speed and explosiveness to blow by and get to the rim. He also had the shiftiness to get defenders off-balance.
