The Lightning are led by big man Tobe Awaka, (Cardinal Hayes) who recently committed to Tennessee, finisher and rim protector averaging 12.ppg and 11.4 rpg. Tahaad Pettiford (Hudson Catholic) is averaging 13.6 ppg.
Florida Rebels (Orlando, FL) EYBL Record: (7-1)
The Florida Rebels are one of the top teams in EYBL thanks to Coach Steve Reece, and are led by Sean Stewart. The Duke Blue Devils commit is a double-double machine averaging 14 and 10, during the EYBL sessions. He has shown flashes of greatness with ultra-athletic ability. Edgerrin “Jizzle” James Jr, out of Olympia HS has a knack for getting the ball to playmakers, and is currently averaging 6 rebounds a game. Athletic, wing Jordan Burks is averaging 9.9 ppg.
Team CP3 (Winston Salem, NC) EYBL Record: (7-1)
Team CP3’s 3 headed monster Aiden Holloway, GG Jackson, and Robert Dillingham has led them to a 7-1 record in EYBL. This could be one of the best AAU backcourts in the country. Add frontcourt star and UNC commit Greg “G.G” Jackson this could be the odds on favorite to win the EYBL this year. Holloway is averaging 15.5, Jackson, 12.5 and 10.5 rebounds, and Dillingham is averaging 18.4.
New Jersey Scholars (Camden, NJ) EYBL Record: (7-1)
NJ Scholars are led by the Camden High duo Aaron Bradshaw and according to many scouting services the #1 player in the country DJ Wagner. Add Duke commit Mackenzie Mgbako, this team will be a tough team to beat in the EYBL championship.
Mokan Elite (Overland Park, KS) EYBL Record: (7-1)
Mokan Elite are led by Link Academy’s guard Trey Green, and Omar Biliew. Green is averaging 13.0 and shooting 50% from the 3Pt line. Biliew is a versatile finisher, who can play some 3 and 4, with a very high motor.
